5 Times Square was engineered by Marco Shmerykowsky before he joined Shmerykowsky Consulting Engineers. The tower design features a structural wind resisting system which allows for a core free of large steel bracing members. Rentable floor space was maximized by keeping core services as compact as possible. The building serves as headquarters for international accounting firm Ernst & Young and has also been the site of several Shmerykowsky signage projects.
